"A friend of mine, herself a successful author, once commented, 'It has been said that everyone has a book inside of them. For most people, that is where it should stay.'
Her comment was only partly in jest. Too often people write books that don’t need to be written — except perhaps to gratify the author’s ego.
I’m glad Your Move didn’t stay inside the author, because this is a book that needed to be written.
I’m an author and a voracious reader. I’ve had eight books published by major publishing houses. I don’t say that to brag, but to provide perspective: I know a bit about good books.
If you read enough books in a genre, they can start to sound the same. You won’t feel that way here. Your Move doesn’t sound like any other book you’ve read — because it isn’t. Imagine my pleasant — no, delighted — surprise when I started reading Sam’s book and it grabbed me! None of the tired bromides or recycled ideas. It was fresh, provocative, and edgy in all the right ways.
I don’t read nonfiction looking for things I already know or agree with. I read to discover new insights and, hopefully, new ideas I can use. Your Move is that kind of book.
I didn’t agree with everything I read — but this is important: I didn’t necessarily disagree either. I just hadn’t thought about things that way before.
The Nordic perspective here isn’t a gimmick; it’s a cultural difference worth embracing. 'Nordic' evokes resilience — you don’t hear people talking about 'tropical resilience', where the weather is pleasant and life is easy.
And let’s be clear: this book is honest. Sam bares his life and soul so you can learn from what he’s learned.
I think Sam has written a terrific book, and I’m glad to support him in getting it published and into the hands of readers. I’m honored to have played even a small part in the process. Here’s the test of a great book: you find yourself thinking about its ideas when you’re not reading it, and long after you’ve finished. By that standard, Your Move is a great book.
Read it with an open mind. Grapple with the tough ideas. I think you’ll find it as unique and worthwhile as I have.
Of course, how you read it — and what you do with it — is up to you.
After all, it’s your move."

"What an unusual, forthright, and compelling book! Initially, I anticipated content reminiscent of Andrew Tate—provocative, controversial, and misogynistic.
However, that assumption was entirely incorrect. While the content may be provocative, it is equally uplifting, novel, and refreshing. Written from a perspective of common sense, the author utilizes runes as a foundation to offer reflections on the challenges confronting the newer generations.
The book possesses an almost poetic tone, and it is highly likely to benefit you, whoever you are.
Read it to be challenged, angered, moved, or inspired. It represents a breath of fresh air amidst today's prevailing superficiality.
It is almost certainly entirely unlike anything you have previously read."

"A courageous and necessary book that offers both individuals and professionals genuinely new perspectives. Accepted ideas and theories are questioned with the aim of giving power back to people — the power to shape their own lives.
The author writes with honesty and clarity, grounded in lived experience. Concrete advice and well-crafted exercises provide substance and real opportunities for the reader to work with. The writing has drive, flow, and a clear forward movement — gaining weight and depth as the book progresses. Short paragraphs and open spacing create room to breathe and make the text easy to absorb. The honesty is disarming; nothing is wrapped in sugar.
The book builds a credible and much-needed counter-view to the prevailing narrative around 'mental illness', showing how trends in treatment, politics, and social media have drifted. Instead, it offers a different path — not an easy shortcut, but a sustainable one. The recurring advice and exercises are valuable, clear, and thoughtfully developed.
The Mind–Body–Soul structure is especially engaging. The Nordic Self Help concept is brilliant — exotic for some, deeply recognisable for others, and grounding for all.
The metaphors and imagery throughout are lyrical, vivid, and felt in the nervous system.
An honest, brave, and thought-provoking book — one that challenges, supports, and inspires. A turning point is possible, and this book shows that you can move forward."
